The Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL) is a useful tool, providing students with citation and formatting guidelines for both APA and MLA styles. 

Scribbr provides a free citation generator in both APA and MLA styles. Please note that when using a citation generator, students should double check their citations. Also note that databases provide citations for each article.

     eBooks are available on the Destiny Catalog. Sign in using your student ID number and password to borrow an ebook. 

 

 

Sora provides access to eBooks through an LBUSD collection and the Long Beach Public Library. You do not need a 
Long Beach Public Library card to access the LBPL collection. Be sure to select "Long Beach Public Library" under "         "Explore."

           Search for eBooks available on ProQuest. eBooks can be read online or downloaded for later use. 

Libby is available for download on Apple and Android devices. Link your library cards to Libby to download ebooks and audiobooks. See Ms. de la Garza for further assistance.

     The closest branch is the Angelo C. Iacoboni branch library located at 4990 Clark Ave. in Lakewood. 

 

The Engineering Club includes students from all pathways. We aim to give all students the opportunity to apply engineering and design concepts to their everyday lives. 

We are currently working on establishing a library makerspace, which we plan to open on May 5th. The first phase of the library makerspace will give all students access to arts and crafts supplies, 3D printers, a Cricut machine, and building supplies such as cardboard construction kits, K'nex sets, and Keva planks. 

Pending funds, our second phase will include more creation hardware, a podcast and video production studio, and a library makerspace teaching lab. 

The Engineering Club meets every other week on Tuesdays in the library from 3:40-5:00 PM.

 

 

Model United Nations- also known as Model UN or MUN—is a popular extra-curricular activity in which students roleplay delegates to the United Nations, simulate UN Committees, and learn about diplomacy, international relations, current world issues, and the UN itself. It is estimated that hundreds of thousands of students worldwide participate every year in Model UN conferences at all educational levels in schools and universities. Many of today’s leaders in law, government, business, humanities and the arts participated in such simulations as students.

We are accepting new members!

Students from all pathways are encouraged to join Model UN. Our next event will be the JackRabbit MUN conference at Poly High School on Saturday, May 24th from 8 AM- 4 PM. If you are interested in participating in this event, please come to one of our meetings. We will start preparing for this conference in March!

Meetings take place every other week in the library during 8th period on Thursdays and Fridays.
