Principal's Message
Welcome from Principal Dunn
August, 2025
Dear McBride Families and Students,
Welcome back to another exciting school year at McBride High School! I hope this summer brought your family moments of rest, adventure, and connection. As we prepare for the 2025–2026 school year, I want to share how deeply honored I am to continue leading our vibrant and diverse McBride community.
Over the summer, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Brazil, immersing myself in a culture rich with history, resilience, and warmth. That experience brought me a deeper understanding of community, family, and the power of connection. As I walked through vibrant neighborhoods, heard stories of struggle and triumph, and shared meals with locals, I was reminded that education, like community, is not just about knowledge, but about compassion, listening, and purpose. That cultural experience continues to offer me clarity in how we serve our students, support our staff, and strengthen the ties that make McBride so special.
As we return, I’m excited to share that Dr. Cole-Jackson will be joining our leadership team as Assistant Principal. Dr. Cole-Jackson has already made a meaningful impact at McBride, and her presence full-time will provide consistency, vision, and added support as we continue growing together.
At McBride, we remain committed to our core values: Maturity, Bravery, Humanity, Scholarship, and joyful learning. Our educators and staff have been preparing with care and dedication to ensure our students are met with engaging instruction, high expectations, and the support they need to thrive. We will continue the hard work of ensuring every learner has access to opportunity, while embracing the joy that a new school year brings.
During my time in Brazil, I came across a message that deeply resonated with me, a cultural expression rooted in the values of forgiveness, compassion, and gratitude:
Sinto muito. Me perdoe. Te amo. Sou grato.
I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. I am grateful.
These words will guide my leadership this year as we work together to nurture not only the minds of our students, but their hearts as well.
We are so glad you are here. Thank you for being a part of the McBride family.
With Wolfpack pride and gratitude,
Dr. Stephanie Dunn
Principal, McBride High School
